Meet the women behind Partnership Editions, the collaborative art dealership changing the industry. Friends Georgia, Partnership Editions Founder, and Rose a budding London artist talk friendship, business and RIXO favourites.

How did you both meet?

We were actually at school together but we reconnected at a friends birthday lunch a few years ago and basically didn’t talk to anyone else the whole lunch.

How do you stay creatively inspired?
I go to a lot of exhibitions. I am a member of the RA and the Tate; the RA just had the London Original Print Fair, which is one of my much-loved
exhibitions of the year. One of my favourite printmakers at the moment, Katherine Jones was showing there – you always find something beautiful in the RA.

You have 5 minutes to get up and out the door – what RIXO item do you throw on and what would you wear it with?
My Chrissy cherry blossom dress is just so beautiful I want to wear it all the time (thank god summer is finally here)! I like to mix it up with my doc marten sandals (I’m not that good in heels). The Moss psychedelic shell blouse I love with a pair of straight denim jeans and Comme Des Garcons converse. Nothing else really needed as the blouse is so AMAZING !!

We love podcasts at RIXO, do you have a favourite?
I have to say I was addicted to S-Town. Loved it! Now can’t stop listening to ‘My Dad wrote a Porno’!

What are your top 5 essentials that you constantly have on you?
I always have Nars Funny Face lipstick in my bag. I’m not very good at make up so feel that always does the trick if you need to make an effort. Paw Paw Papaya Moisturising balm. A small notebook and pen and probably my phone as I take a lot of pictures.

What inspired you to start Partnership Editions?

I worked in the art world at different galleries and auction houses before becoming a freelance art consultant in 2016. Friends asked where to go to find really good affordable art but I felt that most places weren’t curated or were overpriced or unapproachable. I loved the idea of creating an approachable platform for emerging artists and emerging collectors.

Favourite piece of Rose’s work?
I have to admit that I have a pretty extensive Rose Electra Harris collection in my flat! I have her Green Chair screen print in my kitchen and it always makes me feel happy when I am cooking with it next to me.

You have 5 minutes to get up and out the door – what RIXO item do you throw on and what would you wear it with?
Fittingly, I would have to say the Georgia Skirt. It’s so easy to wear with everything – in the day, trainers and big jumpers; in the evening, I dress it up with some boots.

We love podcasts at RIXO, do you have a favourite?
“In Good Company with Otegha Uwagba” on NTS radio has been really inspiring and motivating. Otegha interviews female founders in the creative industries – being a sole founder, I find it immensely encouraging to hear that other people have faced similar challenges. I also love Saturday Review on BBC Radio 4 for an overview of a week in the arts, from books to film to theatre to exhibitions.

Summer is almost here! What are you looking forward to the most?
I can’t wait to go to Naples in July for a few days as they have a really exciting emerging art scene. I’m looking forward to checking out the Glenn Ligon show at Thomas Dane Gallery there and eating in some funny traditional trattorias.
