Where do you find your inspiration ?
This is difficult to say, I feel inspired by so many things and people I meet everyday. My work is a lot about balance, composition and what feels right at the time. One of my latest crush and big inspirations in life is Hylton Nel, a South African ceramist I had the chance to meet a few years ago. He inspired me so much and made me fall in love with ceramics, which have now become an integral part of my work.
Best part of your job ?
The best part of my job is to have the freedom to work on what I want, choose the project I’d like to develop, and the people I want to work with. I used to work as a fashion designer before, and absolutely loved it, but I missed the freedom of working on different projects and mediums.
How would you describe your style ?
Funky with a chic French refinement ! I am a positive person in life and I try in my art to represent that energy though colours and illustrations.
Favourite spot in London ?
I live in East London, and love to spend time on broadway market, which is my local spot. It feels like a small village where you can find everything a French person needs : wine, books and nice food !
You have a big day ahead, what piece fo Rixo will you wear ?
I just had my first solo exhibition in London, and my dream dress was Chelsea psychedelic tulip spot ! I love the colours and the shape is ideal for a lot of different occasions and seasons.
