VINTAGE IN MILAN
WHERE TO FIND THE BEST VINTAGE IN MILAN
A ROUND UP BY ORLAGH AND HENRIETTA
NEXT VINTAGE FAIR
Situated in a pink castle roughly an hour’s drive outside of Milan this fair is on once a year and lasts for 4 days. You will find two floors filled with dealers from all over Italy. The location is sensational, the coffee is strong and you’ll find enough Gianni Versace to last you a lifetime.
IL CAMEO VINTAGE SHOP
(Via S. Carpoforo, 6, 20121 Milano MI, Italy)
This treasure trove in the centre of the city is easy to miss but inside you will find all kinds of surprises (think bags, hats, men’s, women’s clothing, tapestry bamboo bar stools and MUCH more) on top of all of this an added bonus is the delight of a very talkative lady to serve you.
MADAME PAULINE VINTAGE
This is also situated in the centre of the city; this little gem is walking distance from IL Cameo, and here you will discover a curation with impeccable quality vintage. Her Instagram is a must follow: https://www.instagram.com/madamepaulinevintage/?hl=en
Press the buzzer and be patient…this is possibly the most difficult location to find but once you are there it’s the hardest to leave. You will be escorted through a courtyard to a world of the most incredible designs. This spot is a familiar name to many vintage fashion lovers in Europe and has many famous clients – think Rachel Zoe and Chiara Ferragni; who come from all around the world for their fix of hard-to-find vintage pieces. Additionally there is an archive of hand painted prints that you can see, but be sure to book a private appointment!
NAVIGLIO FLEA MARKET
On the last Sunday of every month, the banks of Naviglio Grande; the oldest canal in Milan; are transformed into a huge outdoor flea market! This market is our absolute favourite – you can find everything and get great bargains, don’t be afraid to negotiate. Last time we bought a stunning (and squeezed it into out suitcase to come home with) tapestry carpet for under 200 Euro.
HUMANA VINTAGE MILANO
Want to find Celine for 10 Euro? Head here, seconds away from the Cathedral Duomo! it is tucked away around a corner and is Italy’s equivalent to our UK charity shops. Simple price structure where all clothing is 10 Euro – no matter if it’s designer or not. Plenty of silk and cotton blouses can be found.
Stay tuned for our next Vintage road trip!
